Advantages of the Herbal Remedies for Dental Cavities
Dental cavities are tiny black holes on the surface of your white teeth that further proceed to the internal part of the teeth. This is caused by bacteria that remain on the surface of your tooth enamel that creates acid out of the food or sugar present on the surface.
How do the bacteria cause Dental Cavities?
Bacteria when present on the surface of teeth invade the enamel of the tooth by producing acid from the remains of food. However, this is not it. Bacteria at the lining of the gums form a sticky film that is known as plaque that contains acid. This acid in the plaque removes the minerals like calcium – which the enamel of the tooth is made up of. This acid further causes erosion and creates holes in the teeth.
What happens to the teeth after the cavity?
The tooth consists of several layers before the enamel coating. Once the cavities begin forming on the surface of the tooth, the internal layers of the tooth are exposed. The pulp– layer of the tooth that contains nerves and blood vessels, when becomes exposed causes extensive severe sensitivity in the entire mouth.
When plaque starts forming near the gum lining, the bacteria there start feeding on the tissue of the gums that further resulting inreceded gumsandtooth infection. Once your gums start receding, the area of the tooth beneath the gums starts appearing which does not only appear ugly on seeing but also further increases the chances ofbone infection.
